The Baltimore Ravens saw a few players leave practice on Thursday with injuries after being relatively healthy throughout the first few days of 2022 training camp. Fullback Ben Mason, center Tyler Linderbaum and outside linebacker Vince Biegel each couldn’t finish practice, and in Beigel’s case he was carted off of the field without putting any pressure on his leg.
After practice, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh provided injury updates on multiple different players, and when talking about Biegel he provided devastating news, revealing that the veteran had suffered a torn achilles. It marks the first major injury of training camp for the Ravens, and happens to a player that was standing out over the first week of practices.
OLB Vince Biegel tore his Achilles today in practice and is out for the year. He was having a good camp. His third season-ender in three years. Brutal.

The injury marks Biegel’s second torn achilles in three years, as he suffered the same injury during 2020 training camp as a member of the Miami Dolphins. It’s a brutal development for Biegel, who was looking like he could potentially win a spot on Baltimore’s roster and even carve out a decent role on the team.
In the wake of the injury, the Ravens could look to add more outside linebacker depth either through trade or free agency.
