The Baltimore Ravens have been known for finding undrafted free-agent gems after putting together a rookie class. Plenty of names come to mind when thinking of players who got overlooked that Baltimore has taken chances on in the past.
One player that the Ravens have high hopes for is outside linebacker Malik Hamm, who signed with Baltimore following the 2023 NFL draft. He flashed during the 2023 preseason but went on injured reserve to start the year. Hamm’s 21-day practice window has been opened, and head coach John Harbaugh said the rookie can help in multiple ways.
“I think [Malik Hamm] definitely is potentially an option. It’s [his] health and how ready he is. I think he’ll be ready. He moves well and could help us both on defense and special teams if he gets a chance. Then, with where the roster is, you have to weigh those two things.”
Hamm had 32 sacks at Lafayette and signed with the Ravens after going undrafted this year. He had four tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in the preseason.
