The Baltimore Ravens struggled to find consistent play out of their offensive line during the 2021 season. They suffered many injuries across the unit, which is one of the main reasons why they struggled so much over the course of the year.
One of the key pieces who missed the majority of the season was All-Pro offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley. Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta gave a positive update on Stanley, talking about the progress that he’s made and saying that he feels further ahead than at this point last year.
DeCosta said that Ronnie Stanley told him recently that he feels further ahead now than he did at this time last year. DeCosta said Ravens are optimistic but there’s a long way to go.

Ravens GM Eric DeCosta on Ronnie Stanley, who has dealt with an ankle injury the past 2 years: "Ronnie feels farther ahead now than he did at the same stage last year."
DeCosta said he will still have contingency plans at LT but he's "optimistic" Stanley is making good progress.

Eric DeCosta says Ronnie Stanley feels further ahead at this point in his ankle rehab than he did last year. But it’s still a long way from training camp.

Stanley suffered a gruesome ankle injury in the middle of the 2022 season against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and hasn’t been able to play in any games for the team outside of Week 1 of 2021 against the Las Vegas Raiders, where he didn’t look like himself and opted for another surgery on his ankle. There is still a long way to go for Stanley’s recovery, but DeCosta’s message marks a positive update on the tackle.
