The Baltimore Ravens kicked off their 2022 mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, as most of Baltimore’s players were in attendance and working with their teammates and coaches. However one player that was a surprise no-show was defensive lineman Michael Pierce, who was the lone Raven to miss the day without having a previous injury.
It was unknown why Pierce wasn’t at minicamp, but when head coach John Harbaugh was asked about the absence of the defensive lineman he revealed that it’s a personal matter. However, he also made clear that the team understands the situation, saying that “it is what it is”.

Pierce was signed to a three-year, $16.5 million deal in the beginning stages of free agency. He is expected to provide a solid veteran presence on the defensive line, so hopefully he’s able to rejoin the team soon and get valuable reps in as he looks to be a bit part of Baltimore’s defense.
