Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman Derek Wolfe missed the entirety of the 2021 season with multiple ailments. His loss was a big one, as he was arguably Baltimore’s best run defender in multiple ways over the course of 2020.
On Monday, Wolfe posted a picture on Twitter that shows he is recovering after having successful hip surgery. Having this surgery now will hopefully make it so that Wolfe will be ready in time for the start of the 2022 Ravens training camp if the team decides to bring him back.

In his first season with the Ravens, Wolfe played in 14 games, totaling 51 tackles, one sack, six tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits. He helped solidify the run defense and was a key proponent of stopping some big-time running backs, including Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans in the Wild Card Round of the 2020 playoffs.
