Ravens DL Calais Campbell confident team can regroup after tough Week 2 loss vs. Dolphins

The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Miami Dolphins 42-38 in a high scoring affair that ended in heartbreak for the home team. The Ravens blew at 21-point lead in the fourth quarter, being outscored 28-3 in the final period.

Plenty of reasons can be come up with for how the game was lost, including lack of a running game, a tired defense, play-calling and more. Ravens defensive lineman Calais Campbell spoke to the media after the game, expressing confidence that the team can bounce back.

“We’re a veteran team; we’re not going to let this beat us twice. We’re going to regroup. We go in there, we study the tape, we figure out what happened, and then we move on. [We will] use it to get better, but at the end of the day, this team still has all the potential in the world to be as good as we want to be. We just have to take it one play at a time.”

The Ravens need to get back on track and in the win column next week against New England in a big way. After Week 3, they then face the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals in back-to-back weeks, two teams with high-powered offenses of their own. If Baltimore can finally get some pass rush against those teams, then the secondary will be much better off to make plays to stop the long passes, although there are multiple issues to be solved for the Ravens before they take the field again.
