Newcastle United took another huge step towards Champions League football with a gritty 4-1 win over Premier League strugglers Everton. Eddie Howe's side weathered some early pressure and turned the screw in the second-half to pile further pressure on the Toffees.
A brace from Callum Wilson and second-half goals from Joelinton and Jacob Murphy saw the trio continue their rich vein of form in front of goal. The win over Sean Dyche's side, combined with results elsewhere, saw the Toon move closer to mathematically securing their place in the top-four.
There's still a lot of football to play until that stage, but with cameo performances like Alexander Isak's tonight - who produced a moment of magic for Newcastle's fourth - it's growing more and more likely the Magpies will be in Europe next season.

The Toon are nine points clear of Liverpool, eight clear of Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur. Howe's men also created a two point buffer between themselves and Manchester United after their draw with Spurs.
