It is time for ChronicleLive readers to have their say after Newcastle United brushed aside Leicester City in the Premier League. Goals from Chris Wood, Miguel Almiron and Joelinton ensured a comfortable return to Premier League action for Eddie Howe’s side.
High marks are expected all around as Newcastle rarely stepped out of second gear against the Foxes. Bruno Guimaraes was named the official man of the match but several others could have claimed the award.
Our chief sports writer Lee Ryder gave Guimaraes and compatriot Joelinton top marks for their flawless display at the King Power Stadium. Kieran Trippier and Sven Botman also scored highly for their efforts.

The victory was Newcastle’s 10th in 11 games across all competitions. Just four points separate the Magpies from league leaders Arsenal - who they are set to face on January 3.
Next up for Newcastle is Leeds United at St James’ Park on New Year’s Eve. A huge advantage for Howe and co is that the Whites are also set to face Manchester City on December 28.
