Liverpool finished 2022 with a narrow victory over Leicester City in the Premier League.
The Reds claimed a 2-1 victory to remain in sixth place in the league table but move to two points adrift of the Champions League places. They have now played the same number of matches as fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
Leicester took the lead thanks to a goal from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the opening minutes. Liverpool got back into the game before half-time with two goal goals from Foxes defender Wout Faes.

Liverpool were dealt two potential blows in the second half, with Andy Robertson and Harvey Elliott both appearing to be struggling before being replaced by Kostas Tsimikas and Stefan Bajcetic, respectively.
Klopp will hope the issues are not serious ahead of a busy January fixture schedule.
