Liverpool recorded a commanding 4-0 victory over Manchester United to move top of the Premier League table.
It took just five minutes for Luis Diaz to open the scoring as he received a cutback from Mohamed Salah to finish from close range. Less than 20 minutes later, Salah got on the scoresheet himself to double Liverpool’s lead, slotting the ball past David de Gea after receiving a perfectly-weighted pass from Sadio Mane.
Having controlled the first half, the Reds were initially slow to rediscover their rhythm after the interval before Mane put the game beyond all doubt, midway through the second half. His goal ensured that all three of Liverpool forwards had scored and assisted a goal each on Tuesday night. Salah then added Liverpool’s fourth and his second, late on.
