Rate of inflation falls to 2.8% amid high street fashion price war

Inflation Rachel Reeves Spring Statement

The rate of inflation fell to 2.8% last month as high street fashion stores slashed their prices in February.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said lower clothing prices were largely behind the dip in the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) from 3% in January.
