A legendary voice from India’s musical history is headed to the big screen. A new biopic on celebrated Carnatic vocalist MS Subbulakshmi has been officially launched in Chennai, with actor Rashmika Mandanna set to portray the iconic singer. The film was launched on the occasion of MS Subbulakshmi’s 110th birth anniversary. Filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri is directing the project, while popular composer Anirudh Ravichander will create its music.
