Rash drivers not entitled to any leniency in punishment: Kerala HC

KOCHI Kerala High Court

KOCHI: Vehicle drivers who cause accidents due to rash driving are not entitled to any leniency from courts while considering their punishment, the Kerala High Court said in a judgment.

Justice A Badharudeen was considering an appeal (Crl. A. No. 1557/2007) filed by Martin alias Jinu Sebastian of Arakkulam near Kulamavu in Idukki and his brother Anil Sebastian challenging the punishment given to them by a trial court.
