Macklemore dropped from Ed Sheeran tour over ‘free Palestine’ chant

  • Macklemore has been removed from the remaining US support dates of Ed Sheeran 's Loop Tour.
  • The decision follows pro-Palestinian comments made by the rapper during a concert in New Jersey earlier this month.
  • Promoter Messina Touring Group stated that venues warned they would not permit concerts featuring Macklemore on the lineup to go ahead.
  • The promoter explained that dropping Macklemore prevented full tour cancellations that would have affected hundreds of thousands of fans.
  • Representatives for both Ed Sheeran and Macklemore have been contacted for further comment.
