On Sunday evening, rapper Killer Mike made headlines when he was handcuffed and escorted out of the Grammy Awards. The incident occurred after he had already won three Grammys during the pre-televised portion of the ceremony. While details surrounding the incident remain unclear, Variety has reached out to Killer Mike's representatives, CBS, the Recording Academy, and the LAPD for more information.
The news of Killer Mike's arrest was initially reported by journalist Chris Gardner, who shared videos of the incident on X/Twitter. Gardner mentioned that there is a possibility that Killer Mike might be released later in the evening, although it is uncertain if he is being charged or booked at the moment.
