Raphinha's transfer saga has been dominating the headlines south of the border but the Leeds United maestro looks set to make a £60million move to Chelsea.
The influx of cash could have a knock-on effect in the Scottish market with Ryan Kent 's name once again linked with a move to Elland Road this summer. Kent has been consistently linked with a move to the English Premier League side since Leeds United had a bid knocked back under former boss Marcelo Bielsa.
Kent is out of contract at Rangers next summer and the Ibrox side are likely to be keen on holding on to one of their most influential players after an impressive campaign, where the winger was vital in the run to the Europa League final. However, many would have assumed that new boss Jesse Marsch would have moved on from the Ibrox stand-out as he looks to put his own stamp on the club.
American transfer guru Dean Jones insists Marsch would still be open to bringing the 25-year-old to Yorkshire when the influx of cash arrives from the Brazilian as he offered an insight into his fellow countryman's transfer prorties. A potential approach would leave sporting director Ross Wilson with a decision as he risks letting Kent leave for nothing next summer.
Speaking to the Rank Squad podcast, Jones noted two players the American gaffer could look to bring to Yorkshire: “ Two other players to look out for, I guess, is Noa Lang.
"Lang is somebody that they still want to look into. And there’s Ryan Kent, too, who obviously we’ve talked about for ages in terms of being a Leeds target but genuinely is still a Leeds target.”
The former Liverpool loanee was signed on a permanent basis for £7million in 2019 and it was almost certainly with a view to making a big profit further down the line.
