Timber sent transfer message amid United interest
Daley Blind has sent a transfer message to Jurrien Timber amid Manchester United's interest in the centre-back.
United have identified their defence as an area in need of improvement this summer as Erik ten Hag begins his rebuild at Old Trafford. Timber became a regular at Ajax last season and this has led to the 20-year-old being heavily linked with a reunion with former boss Ten Hag at Old Trafford.
It is believed that Timber may be reluctant to move to United before the World Cup in November because of the guaranteed game time he would receive in Amsterdam. For this reason, Ajax are reportedly confident they will be able to keep hold of the defender.
