Raphael Varane on Manchester United under Erik ten Hag
Raphael Varane believes Manchester United are experiencing "something special" under Erik ten Hag amid their fine form.
United rose to third in the Premier League with their 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday, are in the League Cup final, through to the fifth round of the FA Cup and face Barcelona in a two-legged Europa League play-off later this month.
"We’re all enjoying playing together and that can be seen on the pitch and you can see from the results that there’s a very positive dynamic about the team," Varane said. "We’re adapting to the new manager and there’s a good understanding between us all now.

"We know exactly how he wants us to play and that shows on the pitch too - we are comfortable with how he wants us to defend, how to mount attacks and how to manage the match, and we’re all pretty relaxed and progressing with confidence."

De Jong's girlfriend makes transfer joke and reveals 'arrival date'
The partner of Frenkie de Jong, Mikky Kiemeney, has joked about the date Frenkie de Jong will ‘arrive’ at Manchester United.
The Barcelona midfielder was Erik ten Hag’s top summer target last year but a long chase for the playmaker was ultimately made in vain as the player stayed at the Nou Camp. The Manchester Evening News understands United are still open to bringing the 25-year-old to Old Trafford.
De Jong is set to face the Reds this month when they battle Barcelona in their Europa League knock-out play-off tie. United visit the Nou Camp first on February 16 before the return leg on home soil a week later. On Monday, Kiemeney hosted a question-and-answer session on Instagram with her followers. One follower, presumably a United fan, asked: “When’s Frenkie coming to Manchester?”
She replied with a screenshot of United’s list of fixtures which included United’s home tie against Barcelona on February 23. So she comically replied: “23-2 I guess.”
