Rap legend breaks silence on withdrawn sexual misconduct lawsuit

  • Jay-Z discussed the emotional toll of a sexual misconduct lawsuit filed against him, which was ultimately withdrawn.
  • The lawsuit, filed in December 2024, accused the rapper of drugging and raping an unidentified woman in 2000 when she was 13, an allegation he vehemently denied.
  • The woman, referred to as Jane Doe, initially sued Sean "Diddy" Combs before adding Jay-Z to the civil suit, claiming an attack after an MTV VMA afterparty.
  • Jay-Z expressed being "heartbroken" and "angry" over the "frivolous, fictitious and appalling allegations," which he had previously called a "blackmail attempt."
  • Following the lawsuit's withdrawal in February 2025, Jay-Z countersued the woman and her lawyers in March 2025, alleging they filed claims they knew were false.
