Ranvir Singh suffers ITV Good Morning Britan blunder as she's laughed at by co-stars

Ranvir Singh was left slightly red-faced when she made a live blunder on Good Morning Britain.

The presenter and journalist was back on the ITV news programme on Tuesday (March 22) to bring viewers the latest news headlines alongside main hosts Susanna Reid and Martin Lewis.

Just under an hour into the programme, GMB's latest hosting duo were chatting through the most pressing headlines with journalists Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire before bringing in Dr Hilary Jones into the discussion on healthcare funding and the current rise in Covid-related hospital admissions.

But it appears Ranvir was eager to get on with her latest job on the show and in a blink and you'll miss it moment a GMB crew member reached out to let her know that she was too early and had walked into shot, wearing a gorgeous red jumpsuit, behind political commentator Kevin.

Not just ignoring the moment, Susanna said: "Oh, hello, Ranvir," to a cue of giggles from their guests and her colleagues. While clutching her notes and today's papers, the 44-year-old said: "I'm a bit early," she laughed as Susanna told her: "Come and join us."

But making her way back off the set at London's ITV studios, she smiled: "I'll step out gently," as her co-stars continued to laugh as Susanna almost lost her train of thought before closing off their segment before moving on with the show.

Ranvir then returned minutes later to read out today's biggest news headlines without a hitch and no reference to her earlier mistake. Last week, Ranvir shared her support as her Good Morning Britain replacement was confirmed. It was reported last month that the she had left her political role on the ITV news programme in December.

However, she is still remaining as one of the show's regular presenters and newsreaders after joining the ITV programme during its launch in 2014 as a features correspondent, before she became political editor of the ITV show three years later with viewers regularly seeing her outside Westminster.

But with her taking on a more starring role on GMB, as well as regularly filling in for Lorraine Kelly on her self-title ITV show, a new but familiar face is stepping into Ranvir's political role.

Anne Alexander, the Senior Political Producer on GMB, announced that Louisa James will instead be seen in the role previously held by Ranvir and in response to the news, she tweeted that she was "super happy about this."
