Baseball should be fun.
Celebrating home runs? That should really be fun. Because home runs are cool and deserve to be celebrated.
And thank goodness we have some fantastic celebrations being used by MLB teams in 2023 after a player hits one out. We saw some similarly great ones in the World Baseball Classic, and I’m happy to see all that joy and silliness come over to the regular season.
So let’s rank the best ones we’ve seen so far — we’ve got props and generally wacky stuff from players — and we’ll revisit this later in the year if we see some more fun stuff:

Inflatable dumbbells are kind of fun!

Kansas City Royals: An awesome mask
Very MF Doom-esque.

Los Angeles Angels: The Samurai helmet
Now that’s how you celebrate a home run.

The home run funnel is great. I also love the water spitting as sprinklers bit.
