The first international break of the season is now upon us and the slate of matches which preceded this natural hiatus certainly had the ‘last day of semester’ feel.
Some unruly classes exchanged goals freely, with five different teams scoring three or more across a flurry of chaotic affairs. Others simply waited for the bell to ring, something almost impressive in the way they managed to expend so much time, energy and sweat without achieving anything noteworthy.
