It was a perfect day for Vidarbha, barring a missed stumping chance. Batters finally came up with a show complimenting the hard yards put in by the bowlers to put Vidarbha on top in their Ranji Trophy match against Jharkhand in Ranchi on Saturday.
Atharva Taide, who scored 59 in the first innings, continued with his good form to finish Day 2 unbeaten on 84 (110b;9x4;2x6). Dhruv Shorey, after a string of low scores in the first three matches, finally came good with an unbeaten knock of 63 (124b;7x4) as Vidarbha piled up 166 for 1 in their second innings to lead by 220 runs.
