NEW DELHI: Delhi's season of embarrassment gets longer by the day. A young batting lineup featuring the likes of an India Emerging team captain Yash Dhull, an IPL star Ayush Badoni, and a 'forever talented' Himmat Singh has failed to put up a score of 200 yet again in this Ranji Trophy. After another meek surrender in their first innings on Monday, Delhi gave away three points to Baroda here a t the Airforce Sports Complex.
In a curtailed game due to inclement weather across four days, Delhi were in danger of suffering an innings defeat when Baroda asked them to follow on after they were bowled out for a paltry 177 in chase of Baroda's 435/9. Delhi survived the day and both captains shook hands at 68/1 in Delhi's second innings. With this timid performance, Delhi are virtually out of the race to qualify for the knockouts.
