CHANDIGARH: Bruised and battered by first round losses, both Chandigarh and Baroda will hope to gain the upper hand when the two teams face off in their Ranji Trophy Elite Group B second round fixture at the Vikash Cricket Ground in Cuttack from Thursday.
While Chandigarh had suffered a crushing 217-run defeat to Hyderabad, Baroda had lost the opener against Bengal by four wickets. Despite their loss in the first round, five-time Ranji champions Baroda have more than once bounced back from such tricky positions, and thus Manan Vohra's boys will be expected to face a strong challenge.
