NEW DELHI: India captain Rohit Sharma is set to play his first Ranji Trophy match in nearly a decade, joining Yashasvi Jaiswal in Mumbai's squad for their January 23 clash against Jammu and Kashmir at MCA-BKC Ground. Veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane will continue as Mumbai’s captain.
The BCCI recently mandated participation in domestic cricket for contracted players unless unfit. Rohit, citing national commitments, has been absent from domestic fixtures for years.
