Rangers’ Scottish Premiership match with St Johnstone next month could be moved to a Sunday night kick-off due to logistical challenges.
The Glasgow club confirmed they will return to Ibrox on 21 September for their Premier Sports Cup tie with Dundee, after playing this season’s opening home games at Hampden due to building delays at Ibrox. The Copland Stand will remain closed while the remaining works are completed.
Rangers’ Premiership clash with St Johnstone is due to take place two weeks later - but fans are still awaiting confirmation of the kick-off time as the SPFL faces huge logistical issues.

Philippe Clement’s side host Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday 3 October, meaning the St Johnstone game will be pushed back to Sunday 6 October.
This will see the match clash with the Great Scottish Run, meaning all major access routes to Ibrox will be closed for a large part of the day as competitors take part in the half marathon and 10km events around Glasgow.
The run begins at 8.30 with staggered start times until 12pm, making a 3pm kickoff at Ibrox a nightmare for organisers.
It could therefore see the game being moved back to 5pm or even 8pm.
