Rangers transfer target says 'nothing' is certain but he 'dreams' of Europe move

Rangers transfer target Thomas Galdames has said nothing is certain with regards to his potential move to Glasgow, but admits he's always dreamt of playing football in Europe.

Speaking to Argentinian outlet Bodegue TV while training with the Chilean national team, Galdames spoke of his possible departure from current club Godoy Cruz, while also stating his desire to not leave on a free transfer.

The Bodegue TV interview can be viewed on YouTube, however here's what the player said (loosely translated via Google Translate): "Nothing is known yet, I have a contract until December. I always dreamed of playing in Europe.

"I want to take this [decision] calmly and be able to leave something for the club. I am very grateful to Godoy Cruz.

"Knowing that I have six months left but I don't want [to go for free].

"If I leave [I might] return one day. I love the club, the people, the city, they made me feel like one of you.

"My idea is to give back what the club did with me."

Earlier this week, the Rangers Review reported on a similar interview wherein Galdames echoed similar sentiments to those above

The player said: "I have a contract in Godoy Cruz until December and their idea and mine is that they sell me now.

"My agent is working on that, they are not issues that concern me and I can only focus on the games.

"I know that going to Europe and playing in a competitive league I would improve more than I would in South America.

"My career has been very progressive, particularly recently. Getting called up for the national team is proof of that. I hope something happens in June or July."
