Rangers transfer target Danilo's Feyenoord price tag 'revealed' as Dutch champions seek big fee

Danilo's Feyenoord price tag has been revealed with Rangers' opening bid well short of his valuation, according to a report.

Michael Beale is in the market to boost his attacking options and has targeted the Brazilian hitman as part of his summer overhaul. The likes of Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Scott Arfield have departed with Sam Lammers in the door from Atalanta. Abdallah Sima is also on the verge of a season-long loan agreement from Brighton with Danilo another target.

The Daily Record report that the Light Blues' low ball offer for the 24-year-old was booted out with the Dutch outfit seeking a £5million plus fee for the hitman. He made the move to Arne Slot's champions from Ajax the previous summer and netted 14 goals in 48 apperances including strikes in the Europa League. With a big price tag in mind, Feyenoord chiefs quickly dismissed the offer from Ibrox with further talks expected to take place but Rangers still have other targets in the frame in a search for a new No9.

The Ibrox men will report back to pre-season training on Friday with at least four new faces already signed up. Lammers is joined by Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland in already penning deals with the men from Govan.

Beale and Co will discover their Scottish Premiership fixture schedule for the campaign on Friday morning - including derby showdowns with Celtic - as they begin plotting how they will dethrone the champions and new boss Brendan Rodgers next season.

Champions League qualifying also takes place early season with the Ibrox men facing a couple of two-legged ties in order to secure a spot at Europe's top table once again.

Last season didn't go to plan on the big stage and Rangers will be determined to earn another shot at Europe's best.
