Rangers transfer latest as Abdallah Sima 'closing in' on loan transfer from Brighton

Rangers are closing in on a season-long loan deal for Brighton attacker Abdallah Sima.

The winger is no stranger to Michael Beale having caught his eye a couple of years ago during a Europa League clash with Slavia Prague and the Mail on Sunday report the 22-year-old has been made available by Roberto De Zerbi with the Light Blues the front runners to get a deal over the line for his services.

The Ibrox boss is confident Sima can recapture his best form in Glasgow having suffered a bit of a stall since his move to the Seagulls. He's had previous loan moves out but they've not worked as planned.

It's been a busy summer already for the Rangers gaffer as he continues to overhaul his squad in a bid to recapture domestic dominance from Celtic and make a fist of it in the Champions League as they seek another group stage campaign.

Four new faces are already in the door in the shape of Sam Lammers, Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland.

A host of names have left after contracts expired including Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent with a number of fringe men expected to follow.

Beale is eager to add to his attacking reinforcements while it is reported he remains in the market for a left-sided centre-back.
