Rangers are poised to rubber stamp Ridvan Yilmaz ’s bumper £6m move from Besiktas in the next 24 hours.
The highly-rated Turkish ace will land on a five-year deal – and Rangers boss Gio van Bronckhorst will now look to trim some of his squad in the coming weeks. Yilmaz is expected to fight it out with Borna Barisic for the left back role – but the Croat could go in the opposite direction with several clubs in Turkey considering moves.
Kemar Roofe is also attracting attention in England with Derby County and now Sheffield Wednesday looking closely at the hitman. Van Bronckhorst has snapped up striker Antonio Colak – who grabbed his first goal for the club in Saturday’s 2-1 friendly defeat to Spurs – while Alfredo Morelos is on the comeback trail following knee surgery. Recent arrivals Tom Lawrence, Rabbi Matondo and Malik Tillman can all play in advances areas, along with Fashion Sakala.
