Rangers starting team news vs Motherwell as Malik Tillman returns to squad but no Nicolas Raskin

Michael Beale has named his Rangers side to take on Motherwell at Fir Park with Malik Tillman back from injury.

The Light Blues gaffer is yet to taste defeat in the league since taking over from Giovanni van Bronckhorst with his only loss on the CV to date coming in the League Cup Final against rivals Celtic. Despite the excellent form in the Premiership the gap at the top remains nine points with Ange Postecoglou and his troops matching the Ibrox men stride for stride and not allowing any opportunity to close the gap with ten games left of the league campaign.

With Rangers kicking off first today, they have the chance to close that gap to six points for a couple of hours at least with Celtic hosting Lee Johnson and Hibs at 3pm. Beale and Co will be determined to put that pressure on ahead of the champions' game while maintain their good run of form with big games on the horizon. The Old Firm rivals lock horns in a couple of weeks while they also go head to head at Hampden at the end of April in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Malik Tillman - who has been a key player in Govan this season and had a major say previously at Fir Park - was back in training this week and has been named on the bench in a major boost to the Light Blues faithful. Beale has named two changes to the side from that 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Raith Rovers at Ibrox last week.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Rangers boss said: "A lot of clean sheets away from home. There's been a mixed bag in terms of a little bit of everything, some free-flowing football at times and some really good defensive performances where we've used the counter-attack really effectively. We've managed to find a solution to the problems that we're facing.

"We go away to Motherwell this weekend who are in a good form, which is similar to when we went away to Hearts and Hibernian in the last couple of big away games. Stuart [Kettlewell] has done really well since he went in there.

"They've had an uptick, he's Manager of the Month, and they didn't play last week so they've had their eyes on us for a little while now. We look forward to the game."

RANGERS XI: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Davies, Ridvan, Jack, Lundstram, Cantwell, Fashion JR, Kent, Colak.

Subs: McLaughlin, Hagi, Souttar, Kamara, Morelos, Wright, Arfield, Devine, Tillman
