Rangers starlet joins two Ibrox team-mates at loan club - but with key difference

Rangers winger Zebedee Lawson has joined Queen’s Park on a season-long loan.

He joins Aiden McCallion and Lewis Stewart, who joined the Spiders on a co-op loan deal last week.

Given Lawson, 17, is not a Scottish youth international, he can’t join Queen’s Park through the SFA’s co-op loan scheme so will move to Lesser Hampden for the season.

Last season Paul Nsio joined Raith Rovers on a straight loan in similar circumstances.

Lawson made two appearances for the Rangers first team last season after joining from Brighton.

The left footed attacker who is at his best off the right came off the bench against Annan in the Scottish Cup and on the final day of the season at Falkirk.

He was a standout for Malky Thomson’s Under-19 team who won the league title, scoring twice on the final day in a 2-1 victory against St Mirren that sealed the league.

Kyle Glasgow and Max Cameron have joined Alloa on co-op loans, with Aiden Crilly expected to make the same move.
