Rangers striker Kevin Kelsy was praised by his international manager after opening his account for Venezuela.
The Ibrox hitman has made an encouraging start to his time at Rangers after netting in his first Old Firm game against Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup.
And he carried on his domestic form to the international stage when he scored for Venezuela in his seventh appearance in a 2-1 defeat to Japan in Hiroshima.
The South American nation were furious because of a bizarre incident when VAR overturned the referee's original decision of a penalty to the visitors and instead awarded a spot kick to Japan because of an earlier incident in the lead-up to the award.
But Venezuela manager Oswaldo Vizcarrondo was delighted at Kelsy's performance and goal.
He said: "We played two strikers and I thought both Kevin Kelsy and Bryan Castillo were excellent.

"Kevin is a talented striker and his size and aerial ability caused problems for Japan throughout the match.
"I believed he could make a difference and he did.
"We focused on Japan's weaknesses, but also on the good form our attackers are in.
"But what happened at the end was clearly highly disrespectful to us.
"We didn’t deserve to lose this match. There were refereeing decisions that made me very uncomfortable and that we can’t control.
"And why was there only two minutes of injury time when there were 14 substitutions in total?"
