The depth of Rangers ' injury troubles will be laid bare at Fir Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Ibrox side travel to face Motherwell as they look to cut the gap on the Premiership leaders Celtic back to two points. The reigning champions thumped Hibs 6-1 on Saturday and the pressure is Gio van Bronckhorst to keep pace with Ange Postecoglou. But the Rangers manager does not have his problems to seek in terms of fitness, with Connor Goldson becoming the latest players to be ruled out for an extended period.
The usually ever-present centre-back now faces months on the sidelines after being forced off in the midweek Champions League mauling against Liverpool and it presents Van Bronckhorst with a serious selection headache. Goldson's absence takes the tally of unavailable first-team stars to eight and that number may well rise to nine if Glen Kamara does not return in time for the short journey to Lanarkshire.
Goldson, Ryan Jack, Alex Lowry, John Souttar, Kemar Roofe, Filip Helander, Tom Lawrence and Ianis Hagi are all injured and it's not clear just when Van Bronckhorst will have them available once more. Here's how his squad is shaping up ahead of Sunday's clash with the Steelmen.
