Rangers squad revealed as Alfredo Morelos leads 7 PSV absentees looking for Hibs shot in Champions League breather

Gio van Bronckhorst has some big decisions to make ahead of taking his Rangers side to Leith to face Hibs with the massive Champions League playoff showdown with PSV Eindhoven just around the corner.

Lee Johnson's men have got off to a stuttering start to the campaign with disappointing results in the Premier Sports Cup and Scottish Premiership so far, however clashes between The Light Blues and the Hibees haven't been short on drama in recent seasons. The Ibrox boss won't want to risk falling behind Celtic early in the season by dropping points on the road, but with a £40m jackpot on offer in the second leg shoot-out he could freshen up his XI.

Van Bronckhorst almost has a full squad to select from. Long term absentees Filip Helander, Ianis Hagi and Kemar Roofe are all all still recovering, with John Souttar also likely to remain sidelined for the trip to the capital.

James Sands has been deputising at the back with Ben Davies missing the entertaining first leg draw and fans will hope to see the defender get minutes after picking up injury. Van Bronckhorst described the £4million man having "a little problem' but with no timeline on a return the Easter Road showdown could come too soon.

There is also Alfredo Morelos ' fitness race to be consider for the Rangers boss, with in-form Antonio Colak keeping the Colombian out of the staring line-up. A starting spot against Hibs could be on the cards to get the frontman up to speed for Eindhoven.

The likes of Ridvan Yilmaz, Scott Wright, Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor, Rabbi Matondo and Ryan Jack could come back into the starting line-up. That would allow Jon McLaughlin, Ryan Kent, Borna Barisic, Malik Tillman, Tom Lawrence and Steven Davies to take a breather after the Tuesday night exploits.
