Rangers have been praised for their savvy approach in identifying two up-and-coming prospects who could develop into integral parts of the team's future plans.
Former Light Blues defender, Alan Hutton, highlighted the potential signings of Bayern Munich attacker, Yusuf Kabadayi, and Moroccan youth international, Hamza Igamane, as shrewd moves by the club's recruitment team.
Kabadayi, 20, spent last season on loan in the German second division with Schalke 04, where he found the back of the net on four occasions in 23 appearances. The young forward, who has been identified as a key target by Rangers boss, Philippe Clement, will be looking to make the step up and establish himself at Ibrox should he pen a contract.
Meanwhile, 21-year-old Igamane has spent his entire professional career thus far with Moroccan club AS FAR, while also earning call-ups to represent his nation's under-23 side. His addition could provide the Rangers squad with an infusion of fresh talent from the African continent.
It's thought that if integrated properly, these two promising youngsters could develop into key contributors for the club over the long term, justifying the faith shown in them by the Rangers hierarchy.
And Hutton believes the pair have the potential to be "amazing signings", adding to the summer acquisitions of Connor Barron, Liam Kelly, Clinton Nsiala, Jefte and Oscar Cortes.
“The two of them, of course, they’re a bit unknown," he told Football Insider. "But, like everyone else, I’ve looked up what they’re all about and what they can bring to the team.
“They’re young, and I’m sure the backroom staff have done their due diligence on them and they think they can improve the squad. Look, there are still going to be question marks, we don’t know if they can play at this level in front of 50-60,000 people every other week, or in the Champions League if they get there.
“But it’s up to them to prove they can handle it. If so, they could be amazing signings.”
