Rangers put last week's League Cup Final defeat to Celtic behind them as they dumped Kilmarnock 3-1 at Ibrox.
Michael Beale reacted to losing his first game as the manager of the Light Blues by making four changes to his side with Antonio Colak, Nicolas Raskin, Todd Cantwell and Ryan Jack all showing up for the home side as they secured all three points against Derek McInnes' men at Ibrox. The game was done inside the opening 45 minutes with Connor Goldson netting with just five minutes on the clock. Fashion Sakala added a second at the third attempt after missing two big chances before skipper James Tavernier added a third from the spot just before half-time following a VAR review for handball.
The home side didn't show the same intent from the off in the second period and Allan McGregor was beaten on the hour. He looked like he should have done much better as Jeriel Dorsett headed home. The fans showed their frustrations during the 15-20 minutes spell in the game but they came through in the end and closed the gap on Celtic to six points - for 24 hours at least.
