Rangers pictured flying out of Glasgow and Kemar Roofe is on the plane to Seville

Rangers took to the skies on Monday afternoon hoping Euro glory is written in the stars.

And Kemar Roofe was on the flight, fuelling belief he could make his comeback from injury in time for Wednesday night’s Europa League Final.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad took the 2:30pm plane from Glasgow Airport to Seville, with the Union Jack emblazoned on the tail.

They will touch down in the Andalusian capital two hours later before making their way to the team hotel.

Although it remains unclear if Roofe will be fit for the Eintracht Frankfurt showdown, the fact he at least makes the travelling party is a boost for van Bronckhorst.

The Jamaican hasn’t played since the Scottish Cup win over Celtic on April 17 as the striker nursed a knee injury.

It meant Rangers boss van Bronckhorst had to mastermind the win over RB Leipzig without a recognised centre-forward.

But he along with the rest of the Rangers stars were onboard the Titan Airways flight ZT1872, which may or may not be a clue as to whether he will be fit for the showpiece.

They will be met on Spain’s south coast by thousands of fans who have already made their way to the sunshine city.
