Rangers legend Ally McCoist has taken to his Instagram to share a touching picture tribute to the late great Davie Cooper.
Today marks 27 years since the former Rangers, Motherwell, Clydebank and Scotland hero passed away.
Cooper's life was tragically cut short on March 23, 1995 after suffering a brain hemorrhage at the age of just 39.
The memories of the Hamilton man's majestic displays still live on in countless highlights video on YouTube and in the minds of those lucky enough to see the wing wizard play.
And on the anniversary of his death, close pal McCoist posted a picture of them to his 274k followers on his Instagram, commenting: "27 years ago today. Still can't believe it. Miss you pal."
Cooper spent 12 years at Ibrox, winning three league titles, four Scottish Cups and seven League Cups, and assisted many a McCoist goal in their pomp back in the late 1980s/early 90s at Ibrox.
McCoist has previously said of their friendship: “I was very fortunate to call Davie a friend and I used to pick him up in the mornings.
"I would come down from East Kilbride, pick him up in Hamilton and we would go to a place up in Charing Cross for a coffee and a bit of toast.
“I’d probably get him into training for quarter to 11 for a 10 o’clock start! That was the normal, I used to drive him absolutely potty.
“We had some great times together. We used to socialise together with maybe a day at the races and a game of snooker and things like that so they are wonderful memories.”
