Ally McCoist has branded the Celtic protest against Dermot Desmond at St Andrews as "embarrassing" as he called out the stunt during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

The Celtic shareholder was targeted by disgruntled supporters who threw tennis balls onto the green of the 15th hole as Desmond prepared to take his shot. The balls had an image of Desmond with his face scored out attached to them.
