Rangers legend Alexei Mikhailichenko signs up to fight Russian troops in Ukraine

Rangers legend Alexei Mikhailichenko has signed up with his teenage son to fight the Russian invasion on his home country of Ukraine.

Mikhailichenko Snr, 58, has no military training but both he and his elder son will do everything to stop the invaders’ march on their home city of Kyiv.

He and his son have signed up to the territorial defence unit, which is the civilian unit of Ukraine's defence sources, the Daily Record reports.
