Rangers have hired a English Premier League manager in the shape of Michael Beale says former Celtic kid and Open Goal Broomhill boss Simon Ferry.
The QPR manager was the man chosen to replace the axed Giovanni van Bronckhorst and he has kicked off his era with two wins from two games. Both have been five-goal thrillers and filled with drama including last time out at Aberdeen with supersub Scott Arfield netting an injury-time double to spark wild scenes at Pittodrie.
Not long before Rangers came calling about a return north for Steven Gerrard's ex-No2 at the club, Wolves made a move to hire the 42-year-old but he rejected the chance and they've since brought in former Spain , Real Madrid and Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui which Ferry believes shows how massively respected the new Ibrox gaffer is in the game. He also believes the way Ange Postecoglou has changed the game at Celtic with his 'Angeball' attacking style means just winning is no longer enough - another factor that makes Beale the best choice rather than a Sean Dyche or Chris Wilder.
