Rangers kid Alex Lowry could be set for a loan move to St Mirren until the end of this season.
The 19-year-old from Uddingston impressed the Ibrox club last season but was struck down with an injury that curtailed his campaign.
With just three games under his belt this season, Lowry will want more game-time, while Rangers will look to monitor his progress.
Buddies boss Stephen Robinson is reportedly in talks with Rangers about bringing the attacking midfielder in to the Paisley club, but strictly on a short-term deal, as Lowry is highly-rated.
Lowry hasn't featured much under new boss Michael Beale, with most of his appearances for the 'B' team in the Lowland League.
The Ibrox club are believed to be prepared to let Lowry go on loan, but only if the right opportunity and the right club presents itself.
With St Mirren likely to lose midfielders Ethan Erhahon and Dylan Reid, it would appear that they have space for the talented teenager.
Beale says Lowry could be given opportunities if he stays, but if the right fit comes along, he will be allowed to go out on loan.
