Ridvan Yilmaz will be out until AFTER the World Cup as Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst provided an update on his squad ahead of facing Ajax.
The Dutch giants make the trip to Ibrox tonight in the final Champions League game of the group stages. The Light Blues still have a very outside chance of overtaking tonight's opponents in third spot and securing Europa League football after Christmas but it would require a win by a five goal margin due to a 4-0 loss in Amsterdam on matchday one.
Rangers are yet to get off the mark in the competition with zero points from five outings to date. They've conceded a huge 19 goals and found the net on just one occasion - with Scott Arfield finding the net in the Battle of Britain hammering by Liverpool at Ibrox. Ahead of the final 90 minutes of this campaign at Europe's top table, Van Bronckhorst has confirmed that Glen Kamara is fit but Ridvan Yilmaz and Ben Davies are both out while John Lundstram is suspended with a number of key men like Connor Goldson still sidelined.

He said: "We have [Glen] Kamara coming back in the squad. [John] Lundstram is not available because of suspension.
"[Ridvan] Yilmaz will not be ready. He will be out for several weeks. He has a hamstring injury. It will definitely be after the World Cup. I don’t know how long exactly but he will not be involved in the remaining games until the break.
"Ben Davies didn’t train. Hopefully he will be involved at the weekend but tomorrow will be too early."
On the prospect of finishing on zero points, he added: "It would be disappointing, of course. We knew the opposition we are facing in the Champions League is from a much higher level than we faced last season. You can see in all the games we’ve played, it’s been really tough.
"Once we qualified in Holland against PSV, I knew it was going to be a really tough European season. I also had it with my old team Feyenoord in the Champions League. We only got the first three points in the last game at home to Napoli, so it was a similar experience.
