Giovanni van Bronckhorst has issued an injury update on Alfredo Morelos with the new season looming closer and closer.
Rangers are looking to recapture the Premiership crown from Celtic this term and they kick off their Premiership campaign at the end of the month. They are also bidding to reach the Champions League group stages with two qualifying rounds to navigate. Last season they went all the way to the Europa League Final and lifted the Scottish Cup - but Morelos missed out due to undergoing surgery on his thigh after injury on international duty.
The Colombian hitman - who has 12 months to run on his current Ibrox deal - is continuing to work hard away from the pitch as Van Bronckhorst revealed he is yet to feature with the first-team during pre-season. He also provided fresh updates on Filip Helander and Ianis Hagi with the duo missing for a long period of time.

He told Rangers TV: "Filip is doing really well, he’s played a part in our sessions here in Portugal, his recovery is going well.
"Alfredo hasn’t taken part in our sessions but is working hard to be back as soon as possible.
"Ianis is having his rehabilitation in Holland, but it’s good to have him here with us again for the week.
"His recovery is going as planned.
"He will return to Holland to get back to fitness soon as well."
It comes with Rangers reported to be sweating over the fitness of Kemar Roofe.
The Scottish Sun report that he has not travelled to Portugal after hobbling out of pre-season training. He's remained at home in Glasgow and is a major doubt to face Livingston in just over three weeks' time.
