Rangers are reported to be locked in a transfer tussle with English Premier League side Leeds United and others for the services of Manchester City talent James McAtee.
The 19-year-old made his early breakthrough into Pep Guardiola's title-winning team last term with six appearances across all competitions, shining at youth level with 18 goals and seven assists from attacking midfield at Premier League Two level. Rangers tried and failed to bring him to Ibrox last season but are going to reignite their bid to land him this summer, according to the Scottish Sun.
They aren't alone in trying to snap him up though as Premier League side Leeds United are another club firmly in the mix for McAtee. Brighton also want the youngster but Championship side Huddersfield Town are said to be in the driving seat at present, with Swansea City also throwing their hat in the ring for him.
