Rangers home ranked top 5 in Britain but fans could be in for biggest treat next month

Ibrox is ranked in the top five stadiums in British football, according to a new study.

The home of Scottish Premiership champions rated highly in a review of the best arenas in the UK.

Tottenham Hotspur and Cardiff’s Millennium Stadiums ranked joint first and they were followed by Wembley and Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

But Rangers came out in join fifth place along with Old Trafford - ahead of the likes of Anfield, Stamford Bridge and St James’ Park.

The rankings were based on average scores from Tripadvisor, Google and Football Map reviews with Ibrox recording 4.37 out of five along with Manchester United’s Theatre of Dreams.

And from seeing their team in one of the top five in the UK, Rangers fans could soon be visiting the best in Europe if supporters are allowed into grounds in Germany.

money.co.uk also analysed arenas on the continent to find out which was the best - and worst!

Borussia Dortmund’s Signul Iduna Park came out on top and the Light Blues head there next month in the Europa League.

On the opposite end of the scale, the worst-reviewed major stadium in Europe is Stadio Carlo Castellani, home to Empoli.
