Barry Ferguson has disagreed with Kris Boyd as he confessed Jota is the best player in Scotland so far this season in a decision he labelled 'easy to say'.
But he did point out that there are still 35 games to go in this campaign and it could be any of Kyogo Furuhashi, Callum McGregor, Ryan Kent, Malik Tillman or Morelos. Former Rangers striker and Sky Sports pundit Boyd previously named the Colombian international as the top star in the Scottish Premiership after guest Scott Allan - who previously played for Celtic and Hibs - said the former Benfica man was the No1 in the country.
Scotland hero James McFadden then pulled up the former Light Blues star over his opinion after Jota's stunner against Kilmarnock as part of the 5-0 rout at Rugby Park. He backed up his opening day goal against Aberdeen and three assists in Dingwall in the clash with Ross County with another goal to help Ange Postecoglou's in a five-star show in Ayrshire.

When asked about the debate on Go Radio, Ferguson said: "After three games, it's easy for me to say it's Jota with the way he has started with his goals and assists. But, we are only three games in.
"There are another 35 games. It could be Kyogo, it could be Callum McGregor, Morelos, Kent, Tillman, who again impressed at the weekend. I think there is a long way to go before we decide the best player in Scotland.
'At this early stage Jota has got off to an absolute flier."
