Barry Ferguson has named the scoreline he would 'snap your hand off right now for' as Rangers get set to face Liverpool.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men make the trip to Anfield on matchday three in the Champions League ahead of their first Battle of Britain clash in the section. It's been a tough start for the Light Blues with two defeats and seven goals conceded against Ajax and Napoli.
However, they go into the clash with Jurgen Klopp's side with a big 4-0 win on the road at Hearts under their belts to follow up the pre-international break triumph over Dundee United at Ibrox. Opponents Liverpool have had a poor start and dropped points once again against Brighton - but the Ibrox hero says it is going to be a big ask regardless of their form. Ferguson expects Rangers to get close and make it a tough night for the Liverpool players and says he would take a 2-2 draw now and run.

Speaking to Go Radio, he said: "Let's not kid ourselves on. No matter how poorly Liverpool have started the season, it is going to be difficult and a big ask for Rangers.
"They have a quality manager and world-class players so it's going to be a tough night for Rangers. But what I want to see is the last time they went away in the Champions League at Ajax, they didn't lay a glove on them.
"I fully expect them to get close and make it a tough night for Liverpool. If you can keep it at 0-0, the Anfield crowd could get on the Liverpool players' backs. But it'll be a tough one for Rangers.
"The most important thing is Rangers make sure Liverpool know they're in a game, don't give them too much respect and stand off them. I hope they make a game of it.
"You want to go and pit your wits against these guys. Go and try and frustrate them. If they came away with a 2-2 draw, I'd snap your hand off right now for that."
